What to Expect at Your First MassageWhen you arrive for your first massage, you will be given a short questionnaire to fill out. A basic medical history is necessary so that the therapist can work on your needs with complete safety. Any current discomfort will be discussed along with your expectations for the session. You will be asked about any ongoing medical problems as well as anything from your past that might influence the way the therapist does the massage. All massage is tailor made to the needs of the client. You will have the opportunity to use the restroom, after which the therapist will bring you into the massage room. When the therapist leaves the room to wash her hands, you will have the chance to get undressed and lie on the table covered with a sheet. The therapist will go around your body rocking and compressing the muscle tissue to evaluate how you hold your tension. She will then fold the sheet down to begin work on your back. Only the part of the body being worked on at that time will be exposed. * If at any point you feel uncomfortable, too hot, too cold, or would just prefer a different CD, please tell the therapist. A high quality grade of Jojoba oil will be spread on your skin to facilitate the massage. When she is finished with that part, it will be recovered or draped with the sheet and the next part of your body will be worked on. When your back and legs have been worked on, you will be asked to turn over, and the front of your body will be worked on. The massage therapist will then leave the room to wash up, granting you the privacy to get dressed. Once you are dressed you will have the chance to pay for your session and book another appointment. *At no time during a massage are any specifically male or female parts touched. Therapeutic massage is not for adult entertainment purposes. Anyone displaying inappropriate behavior will be asked to leave. |
